Tiara's Tuesday Talk – Just A LITTLE Black Rain Cloud???

Rain Rain Go Away…
Someone please explain this to me? Why do they give this day a 3? I’d give it a… I don’t know… 10! Rain = aches. Knees, elbows, lower back, mid-back, upper back, shoulders, that ankle I had operated on in 2010… I mean seriously, even my husband who has no arthritis at all gets achy knees when it rains.
Oh and then it clears up after 4 days of rain and gets warmer so guess what??? Now I have aches from the weather changing. The more the weather changes the worse it gets. Autumn and Spring used to be my favorite times of the year but now with the inconsistent weather, they have been dubbed Achy Autumn and Sucky Spring.
(I love crunchy leaves under my feet)

Now if WE all know this, how come they don’t? Honestly, I’m beginning to think those meteorologists need to sit in on a rainy day at a rheumatologist’s office. It would go something like this…
Morning Mrs. Smith. How are you doing today?”
“All this bad weather has me all achy. I can’t wait until it finally picks a temperature and stays there.”
“Good Morning Fred. How are you today?”
‘If the damn rain and humidity would simmer down, I would be right as rain. Speaking of rain, this weather is just awful for my back.”
Or this…

Been there, haven’t we all?
So what can we do about it? Not really much there is to do except move to Arizona but I don’t think they want a state full of us achy people. Did you know the idea that certain painful health conditions are affected by the weather is both widespread and ancient, dating back to at least Hippocrates in the fourth century B.C. I’d say they were on to something.

(Now if they could have thrown something in that oath about being timely…)

Also, why can’t doctors believe us? Because there say is no scientific evidence to support our claims. Really?? They say doctors and researchers do not believe that weather actually makes arthritis or any disease worse. Instead, the idea is that weather can affect your symptoms. But why would changes in the weather cause pain? No one is entirely sure.
Ok geniuses, what did you think I meant? That a little rain cloud made my joints fuse more? No. I meant that the changes in weather, especially drastic ones make my symptoms worse, as you said. Silly, silly doctors.
Now that we all agree, tell me what you do to relieve the change in symptoms rain or snow or humidity cause.
I’m just a little black rain cloud…..
